We are the only official group in the U.S. teaching this particular art. Until recently, this art was not taught outside of Japan. The Macomb study group is managed by Dan Mordan (Genzan) Sensei (5th Degree) and guided by the 15th headmaster in Japan. Since many of the techniques start from a seated position (on your knees), it is necessary to be able to stay in this position for extended periods of time. Association and equipment fees will be needed for continuous study; details will be covered in class. To see a short video or to learn more about this art please visit www.ustamiyaryu.org.
